Why a CAD assembly model repository is necessary?

The most known mechanical benchmarks consider only single parts and not assembly models.

In order to allow the evaluation and comparison of retrieval methods on assembly models, we provide a public CAD assembly dataset.

Welcome to our CAD assembly model repository

The dataset collects 137 assembly models in STEP format (AP203/AP214) arranged in 11 classes. There are 12783 parts in total, out of which 4871 parts are unique.

Dataset ground-truth

Here we report the information about the query used and the relevant models to compute the precion-recall.

In order to facilitate comparisons among assembly retrieval systems, we report in the following tabs several query and their relevant models according to the proposed dataset.

For the definition and the explanation of the adopted similarity criteria we refer to this article.

You can use this tool to compute the average of the precision-recall and to produce its plot.
